She married Darrell Jorgenson and together they had 3 sons; she later married Delos Mullikin and they had one daughter. On May 2, 1969 she married Terrance Brimmer and together they had two sons. Terrance preceded her in death in 1982.

She worked at Area Residential Care in Dubuque for over 25 years. Bette’s residents became her family, she was devoted to caring for all of them.

She loved to embroider, crochet, reading and puzzles, attending field trials, stock car races, camping and family functions where she always “had” to bring her famous noodles. She was an avid Green Bay Packers Fan and Wisconsin Badgers fan.

Bette, a free spirit, unconditionally loved her family; she was a woman with a quick tongue, who was not afraid to share her “wisdom” with family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Steve (Sherri) Jorgenson, of Mineral Point, WI, Jeff (Carolyn) Jorgenson, of Linden, WI, Greg (Mary) Jorgenson, of Dubuque, Chris Meyer, of Peosta, Terry (Hope) Brimmer, of Maquoketa, Iowa, Tracy (Holly Thomas) Brimmer, of Dubuque. Nineteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. One sister Diana (Dick) Glanville, of Linden, WI, sister-in-law, Gloria and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandsons, two brothers Bob Crapp and Jim (Joyce) Crapp, and a sister Nancy (Doug) Pilling. Her mother and father-in-law, Alfred and Pauline Brimmer, and her faithful dog Petey

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Area Residential Care.

The family wishes to thank the nursing staff at Mercy Medical Center, Dr. Mark Moore and the staff at Luther Manor for all their wonderful care and kindness they gave to Bette.
