Beverly T. Steil, 74, of Bethany Home passed away on Monday May 11, 2015 at Bethany Home.
Funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Joseph Church Key West, with Rev. Michael Podhajsky officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church until time of funeral mass. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road is assisting the family.
She was born on September 30, 1940 in Dubuque, Iowa the daughter of Leo and Monica (Schilling) Brown. She married Donald Steil on November 29, 1958 at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Dubuque. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2003.
She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Key West.
She enjoyed playing cards and going to the casino, but most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by four children, Daniel (Kimberly) Steil, of Des Moines, Iowa, Patricia O'Toole, Judy (Jeff) Faulhaber, and Kathy (John Tharp) Steil, all of Dubuque, a son-in-law William Burdt, six grandchildren, Josh, Kyle, Dylan, Colin, Jesse, and Lanie. Two brothers Robert Brown and William Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Don, a daughter Teri and sister-in-law Ann Brown.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of Dubuque.
The family wishes to thank Hospice of Dubuque and the loving staff and residents of Bethany Home for all their wonder care, kindness and friendship these last 12 years.
