Cohen David Backhaus

Cohen David Backhaus infant son of Lindsey and Matthew Backhaus was born on Sunday, March 11th, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Cohen was welcomed into the arms of the Angels on Monday, March 12th, 2018.

Cohen’s short time in this world will be forever cherished and his memory will live on in the hearts of many.

He will be remembered by his parents; grandparents, Cathy and Dennis Pregler, Kayleen and Donald Backhaus; great grandparents; and many loving aunts and uncles along with two very special cousins, Jack and Lauren Pregler.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the doctors and nurses at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque along with the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics for the heartfelt care that was given during this most difficult time. Lastly, a very special thank you to Sandi Spurrell for capturing the most precious moments of little Cohen’s life.

Private family services will be held with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, is assisting the family.
