Delaine Ann Vogt, 93, of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on June 11, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 16th, 2017 with Rev. Pamela Starr officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 15th, 2017 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road.
She was born on March 10, 1924 in Dubuque, Iowa the daughter of George and Minnie (Jonas) Avenarius.
She married John Jurisic, they later divorced. In 1968, she married Emil Vogt, and he preceded her in death in 1995.
Delaine is survived by her three sons, John Jurisic, Dennis (Peggy) Jurisic and Rick (Tracy) Jurisic, all of Dubuque. Three daughters, Donna (Ken) Hartung, of Shullsburg, WI, Janice (Stan) Mahe, of Dubuque, and Sherry (Ron) Schmitt, of East Dubuque, IL. Seventeen grandchildren, Chad, Shannon, Amy, Tim, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Adam, Damian, Jen, Matt, Tracy, John, Eric, Ashley, Jeff, Shawn, and Tyler; along with many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Two sisters Nettie Fortner and Nina “Boots” Jurisic and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband John Jurisic; her brothers Milton, Eldon, Gerald, and Norman; one sister Mona “Sis”; her great grandchildren Adrian Jurisic Williams Jr. and twins Tyler and Ethan Walker; one great great grandchild Evelyn Birch.
In lieu of flowers a Delaine Vogt memorial fund will be established.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Mercy Medical Center especially the ICU unit for all their wonderful care and kindness.
