Doris H. Rogers, 86, of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on Thursday January 15th, 2015 at home.
In accordance with her wishes, private services will be held with burial at Linwood Cemetery. Leonard Funeral Home and Crematory, 2595 Rockdale road is assisting the family.
Doris was born in Sorau, East Germany, daughter of Paul and Kate (Wilde) Henze. She married Robert K. Rogers on November 20th, 1948, in Frankfurt Hochst, Germany.
She worked for several years at the Chateau Supper Club and in her later years at the Bridge Restaurant. Her first priority was raising her children. Doris loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and playing euchre. She enjoyed nature and was always watching for the first signs of spring.
She is survived by her children; Gerald (Linda) Rogers, Robert (Colleen) Rogers, Timothy (Joyce) Rogers, Linda (Mickey) Bahr, John (Kim) Rogers, and Thomas (Christine) Rogers, Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and one sister, her husband Robert, and a granddaughter Heidemarie Boyer.
The family of Doris H. Rogers would like to thank pastors Kristian Kincaid and Jesse Cearlock, Dr. Brian Nelson and his nurse Rose, and Hospice of Dubuque, especially her caretaker Dawn.
