Elizabeth “Betty” Miller, age 85, with her family at her side, joined the Lord on July 1st 2015 giving praise as her last final words on her journey to Heaven.
Mass in Her Honor will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Holy Spirit Parish, Holy Ghost Church.
Betty was born April 24th, 1930 in Dubuque, lowa the daughter of George and Stella (Hufnagel) Leibfried. She married Sydney Miller on September 1st, 1948 at St Joseph Church in
Rickardsville, Iowa. He preceded her in death on January 2, 2008.
Betty was a excellent business women. Betty and Syd started and owned Dubuque Hardwoods, lnc and Miller Trucking, Inc. In her later years she Managed the liquor department at
Sid's Beverage Store.
She is survived by her two children Beverly (Mark Siegworth), Miller, and her sons Maxwell Miller and Ross Miller; a son Bob (Lynn) Miller and their three sons David (Elena) Miller,
Thomas (Ellen) Miller and Daniel Miller; and six great grandchildren, Luke, Cole, Sophie, Gracie, Violet, and Freya. She leaves behind her brother Victor Leibfried, Joan (Bob) Valentine,
Daniel (Mickey) Leibfried and Carol Ritt, along with several nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Syd, her brothers Paul, Howard, Roger, George and Tommy. Her mother and father-in-law Ralph and Violet (Nud) Miller.
