Elizabeth "Bette" Davis, 85 of Dubuque formerly of Peacock Street was received into the hands of the Lord on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at her son's home.
According to her wishes there will be no public service or visitation. Complete arrangements are pending at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road.
She was born on November 22, 1929 in Dubuque, Iowa the daughter of Louis and Amelia (Denzler) Pregler. She graduated from Sacred Heart School in 1943 and married Vernon Davis on Sept 3rd, 1976. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2000.
She spent twelve years at Merri Mac in Dubuque and ten years in Yuma, AZ where her and Vernon managed Storage Max Storage. She moved back to Dubuque in June of 2000.
She enjoyed making quilts, crocheting and prospecting in Yuma with her husband Vernon, along with spending time with her family and pets Alvin, Charlie and Rudy.
Survived by her children, Katherine King, Suzanne Harvey-Roberts, James (Holly) Harvey, Wayne (Debbie) Harvey, and Dennis (Tanya Spence) Davis. Fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her, parents and husbands; Vernon Davis, James Harvey and Virgil Davis, her sisters; Florence Nimmons, Jeanette Agnitch, and Pearl Ohnesorge, her brothers, Howard, Clifford, Robert and son-in-law Pete King and great grandson Angelo Harvey.
She will be sadly missed by Family and friends. Special thanks to Hospice - especially Cindy, Angie and Allison.
