Tex was born in LaMotte, Iowa on March 10, 1925 the son of Frank and Helen (Bechen) Kremer. He married Joan Krogman on July 20, 1954 St. Bonifas Catholic Church in Clinton, IA.

Tex grew up in the LaMotte area and worked on the family farm. He later worked for the Iowa Department of Transportation until becoming the manager of the Table Mound and Spring Valley Trailer Parks, a job he held for many years working up into his 80’s. Tex had a great passion for restoring antique cars, tractors, and old gas engines with the help of his son, Dennis. He was a charter member of the Antique Tractor Club, and enjoyed attending tractor pulls and events put on by the club.

Tex also enjoyed riding horses, dancing, and a good visit with friends, family and especially his grandchildren. Old time western music could always be heard coming from the house along with RFD TV, Wheel of Fortune, or Family Feud.

Tex is survived by his wife, Joan, of 60 years, his son Dennis (Ellen) Kremer and daughter Angela (Michael) Friederick all of Key West, grandchildren Audra (Mike) McLaughlin, Rebecca Kremer, Catherine Kremer, Brittany Friederick, and Blaine Friederick, a sister Georgene Krogman of Crossville, TN, and brothers and sisters in law Mildred Krogman, Donna Burke, Jerrie Krogman, Orville & Phyllis Krogman, Robert & Marijo Krogman and Merle & Mary Krogman along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Francis and Allan, and brothers in law Donald, Jerome, Kenneth and Arthur Krogman and James Burke.

Tex was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.  He was always willing to lend a helping hand, especially breaking a stubborn horse, or by tuning up an old car or tractor.   He will be missed by all who knew him.
