Gerald Anthony Jobgen, 79, of Dubuque, Iowa passed away at home on August 30, 2017.
Services will be held at a later date per request of the family. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road is assisting the family.
Gerald was born November 10, 1937 at home in East Dubuque, IL, the son of Joseph and Mary (Martel) Jobgen. He attended and graduated from East Dubuque High School.
He married Judith Ann Lesch on August 27, 1960 at Sacred Heart Church.
He was employed at the Dubuque Packing Company for 44 years and then retired from Dubuque Nursing and Rehab. Additionally, he was an avid Bears fan and professional tinkerer.
Gerald was a dedicated husband for 57 years as well as a dedicated father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Gerald is survived by his wife Judith (Lesch) Jobgen; his son James Jobgen; daughter Paula Tschudi; daughter-in-law Donna Jobgen; grandchildren Adam Jobgen, Matt Jobgen, Caleb Jobgen, Jarrett Jobgen, Sydney Sebation Fox, Carter Tschudi; and great granddaughter Natalie Fox.
He is preceded in death by his son Timothy Jobgen; parents Mary and Joseph; brothers Gene, Joseph, Charles, and sisters Milldred, Virginia, Leanora, Amelda, and Dorothy; In-laws Jack and Kay Lesch, Joan an Roger Hoskins; Jane and Ken Hefel; and Jim Lesch
Memorials in his name may be sent to Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road in Key West, Iowa in lieu of flowers.
