James Henley Parsons, 55, of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on June 17th, 2017 at Manor Care.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 22nd at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 21st at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory.
Jim was born on September 29, 1961 in Washington, DC the son of James Merwin Parsons, II and Mary Lou Smith.
He graduated from High School and worked for his dad in constructions and lastly was working with Per Mar Security Services.
He married Vickie Schmidt on December 4, 2009 at Miracle Harvest Church of Dubuque, Iowa.
Jim was a kind and loving person; his love for the Lord showed to all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Vickie; son, Jesse Parsons, daughter, Kaitlyn Schmidt; step children, Ryan Ivanov, Mitch Ivanov, Russ Ivanov, Misha Ivanov, Adam Lenz, Jay Lenz, and Keri Gerken. His half brother, James Cornell; and his half sisters, Vickie Northrop and Victoria Beers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and half brother Jay Smith.
The family would like to thank Dr. Cao and staff for all your support and help. The University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Manor Care Heath Service and Finley Hospital staffs in Dubuque, for their care and to all of Jim’s friends.
