Prior to teaching she was a member of the Franciscan order for 8 years, beginning in 1963.
Jane was an avid horse rider and bicyclist. She used to race her beloved Arabian mare Heiriss and spent her summers biking the back roads of Dubuque and Jackson Counties and Lanesboro, MN.
A full blooded Irishman, Jane wore her heritage proudly. If you ever saw her on St. Patrick’s Day you would have known it.

Dave and the kids would especially like to thank the dedicated health care professionals in Dubuque, Davenport, Iowa City and Rochester who helped her through her battle with cancer. As well as the wonderful team at Hospice of Dubuque, especially her nurse Dawn.
