Jeanette Nemmers Konrardy

Jeanette (Nemmers) Konrardy, 84, formerly of La Motte, passed away January 24th, 2016 at Luther Manor.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 28th at St. Joseph Church Key West with Fr. Michael Podhajsky officiating. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery in La Motte. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27th at Leonard Funeral Home and Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road where a wake service will be held at 4:00 p.m.
Jeanette was born in Springbrook, IA January 9th, 1932 to Vernon and Hannah (Kloft) Homan. She went to the country school in Springbrook.
Jeanette married Eldon Nemmers of La Motte on August 5th, 1952 at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Springbrook, IA. He preceded her in death on July 11th, 1981. She married Clarence Konrardy on June 3rd, 1983. He died on Feb 3rd, 1988.
Jeanette was an active member of Holy Rosary Parish in La Motte until it closed. She also ran (and played in) countless euchre tournaments over the years.
Surviving are her children: Mike (Deb) Nemmers of La Motte, Kim (Mark) Cueno of East Dubuque, IL, Kevin (LaVonne) Nemmers of Springbrook, John (Donna) Nemmers of Asbury, Beth (Lee) Radil of Alexandria, MN, Brian (Teri) Nemmers of La Motte, and Terry (Nancy) Nemmers of Cedar Rapids, and two sisters-in-law. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her husbands, Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Lee Homan; a sister, Joanne Homan; a daughter Deborah; a son, Bruce; two grandchildren; her father- and mother-in-law, and several brothers- and sisters-in-law.
In lieu of flowers a Jeanette Nemmers Konrardy memorial fund has been established.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Unity Point Health, Finley Hospital, and Luther Manor Nursing Home for all the care and kindness they gave to Jeanette.
