Jenifer Martin, 56, of Dubuque met her savior in person on Sunday January 14, 2018 after a long battle with cancer.
Family and friends may gather after 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 20th, 2018 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Rd where a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m.
Jenifer was born February 23, 1961 in Dubuque, Iowa to Craig and Gretchen (Claussen) Nordenson. She attended four years at the University of Iowa and was employed as an Account Clerk at Prairie Farms. On September 14, 2013 she married the love of her live, Tim Martin in Spring Green, WI.
Jenifer was a founder and member of Aligrea singing group, Charter member of Riverstone Church of Dubuque, staff member of Ass-Wee-Pay, as well as a member of St. Peter’s Choral Society in St Peters, MO. She was a lover of nature and pets. Jenifer was known as a woman with a lovely sense of humor and a joy to be around.
Surviving are her husband Tim; her father Craig of Dubuque; aunts and uncle Cathy Claussen of Dubuque and Ward (Kay) Peterson of Middleton, WI; and several cousins.
She is preceded in death by her mother Gretchen and uncle Paul Claussen.
