Joan M. Delaney, 76 of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on April 20th, 2017 at Luther Manor.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, April 24th, 2017 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. with Deacon John Stierman officiating. Burial will be on Tuesday, April 25th, 2017 at Dubuque Memorial Gardens.
Joan was born on June 9, 1940 in Dubuque, Iowa the daughter of Delbert and Lenora (Petty) Meyer. She married Dave Felderman and later married John “Midge” Delaney.
She worked for Dubuque John Deere for many years. Joan enjoyed to bowl and competed in many tournaments and leagues.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother; her children and grandchildren were her life.
Joan is survived by her four children, Dave (Shannon) Felderman, Dan (Tammy) Felderman, Dennis (Amy) Felderman, and Jody Felderman, all of Dubuque. Her grandchildren, Tiffany Ranson; Heather Leick; Allison, Gabby and Lexie Felderman; Jeff Hildreth; Amy, Danielle, and Justin Felderman; Natalie Kline; Stephanie Prom; D. J., Connor, Carter and Hannah Felderman; Ashley Rothmeier; Brittany Glover; and Samantha Felderman, along with 14 great grandchildren; her sister Bev (Dale) Stierman and a sister-in-law Lois Haislett.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John “Midge” Delaney and a sister Ruth Shaw.
In lieu of flowers a Joan M. Delaney memorial fund will be established.
The family wishes to thank Cozy Corner, the nurses and staff at Luther Manor, Dr. Angela Kelley and to Hospice of Dubuque, especially Melissa, Jenny and Julie for all their wonderful care they gave to Joan.
