Kathleen M. “Kay” Eagan, 88, 2700 Matthew John Drive, Dubuque, Iowa died at home on June 20, 2016.
Kay was born November 15, 1927 in Dubuque, she was the daughter of William F. “Bill” and Eleanor (Nagle) Higgins. Kay graduated from high school at the Visitation Academy and was a lifelong member of the Nativity parish.
Kay is survived by her daughter, Pam Eagan and her husband John Mills of Los Angeles and son, Jeff Eagan, of Waterloo. She was preceded in death by her parents and only sibling, Eleanor Mae (Higgins) Sullivan.
After a 23-year career as a personnel representative at John Deere Dubuque Works, Kay retired November 30, 1988. Prior to working at John Deere Dubuque Works she was employed at the Interstate Power Company and the "Telegraph-Herald" newspaper.
Kay enjoyed travel, walking, cross-stitching and reading.
A private graveside service will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery. There will be a Mass of Remembrance to celebrate Kay’s life at The Church of the Nativity on November 13, 2016 at 9:30 am to which all are welcome.
