Kathy Sue Friend, 54 of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on Saturday, March 18th, 2017 at home.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 24th, 2017 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday March 25th in Bryon Cemetery, Byron, Illinois. Complete arrangements are pending.
Kathy was born on July 29, 1962 in Byron, IL the daughter of Harry and Edna “Betty” (Drake) Friend.
Kathy worked for the Sisters of the Presentation for 16 years, Wendy’s Restaurant in Dubuque for 5 years and was lastly working for Hills and Dales.
Kathy was always a mother first, and made sure her children came first in her life. She always thought of others, and was kind, caring and very full of life.
She is survived by her children, Jacob Friend, Kristie Friend, and Stephen Winters. Her grandchildren, Jon-Elliott Friend, Gabriel Friend, Jackson Friend, Elexus Sisler, and Cody Smith; and her sister Linda Falk.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Wayne Friend.
