Kevin Robert Feldott, age 61, peacefully lost his battle with cancer on Thursday, July 30, 2015 in the comfort of his home. He was born in Hinsdale, IL, and spent the last 20 years living and working in Dubuque, IA and Galena, IL.
He was adored by the lives he touched and leaves behind a beautiful legacy. He is survived by his wife Cindy; four children, Brad (Naomi), Brian, Kelli, Kasey (Steve Godek); 9 grandchildren; his mother Jane; mother-in-law Lulu Stewart; two brothers, Keith (Jani) and Terry (Barb); and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph and father-in-law Andy Stewart.
Kevin graduated from Hinsdale South H.S. and holds the single season record for men’s basketball free throw %. After graduating from Western Illinois University, he spent his early career in sales. The past 20 years were spent in residential maintenance and managing rental properties.
Kevin found the most happiness in his family and friends, and generously shared his time and love with them. He always believed that he was put here to help people. His favorite place was the family cottage in Michigan, where he enjoyed the beach, sunsets and bonfires. He will be remembered for his stories and jokes, his beautiful blue eyes and smile, being a magician with a 7-iron, and the joy we felt in his presence.
A memorial will be held at Leonard Funeral Home, 2595 Rockdale Rd., Dubuque, IA on Friday, August 7, 2015 from 3-7pm and a service will be held at 7:00pm with Rev. Dianne Grace of Hospice of Dubuque officiating. The family will be there to greet relatives and friends.
