Marilyn J. Drozda, 84 of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on Monday, November 9th, 2015 at Stonehill Care Center.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 14th at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church with Rev. Gabriel Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, November 13th from 3:00 to 7:00 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road where a parish wake service will be held at 3:00 p.m.

Marilyn was born on December 30, 1930 in La Motte, Iowa the daughter of Michael and Appolonia (Koppes) Kaiser. She married Robert C. Drozda on July 2, 1960 in La Motte. He preceded her in death on October 27, 2010.

Marilyn was a wonderful homemaker who loved being able to stay home and raise her Children. After her children were raised she worked at Wahlert High School as a registrar and lastly was working at Coach House.

She loved to travel, golf, play bridge, but she especially enjoyed to volunteer with many different organizations. 

Marilyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed by all.

She is survived by her three children; Brian (Diane) Drozda, Melissa (Kent) Klinkkammer, and Jean (Marvin) Heiderscheit all of Dubuque. Ten grandchildren, Rachel and Jennifer Thompson, Nicole (Tyler) Breitbach, Tyler (Shawn) Sandahl, Travis (Frinne) Heiderscheit, Carson, and Madison Heiderscheit, Rob (Wendy) McKernan, Mike (Maryann) McKernan and Phil (Jenni) McKernan. Eight great grandchildren, Carter, Jordan, Morgan, Cooper, Logan, Liam, Austin and Elliott, along with two on the way.  Three sisters; Janet (Vern) Hingtgen, Betty Hoppman, and Grace (DuWayne) Patzner along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Gerald Kaiser, her husband Robert and a brother-in-law Robert Hoppman

Memorials may be given to Hospice of Dubuque, St. Joseph the Worker or Stonehill Care Center. 

The family wishes to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff at; Medical Associates, Stonehill Care Center and Hospice of Dubuque for all their wonderful care they gave to Marilyn.
