Mary Ellen Brimeyer, 60 of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015 after a long battle with cancer.
According to her wishes there will be no public visitation or services. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road is assisting the family.
Mary was born on June 9, 1954 in Sherrill, Iowa the daughter of Gilbert and Norma (Weisenberg) Brimeyer.
Mary had a great life together with Al Steve. A fun day for Mary was fishing with her friends at her favorite fishing hole with a cold beer. She loved gardening, canning and cooking which were her specialties. She also enjoyed boat rides with Al and hunting morels. She was a very down to earth person who will be missed by many.
She is survived by her significant other Al Steve, her son Jamie Brimeyer, mother Norma Brimeyer, three sisters, Janice (Eugene) Baxter, Karen (Russ) Duve, and Elaine (Tom) Fortmann. Three brothers; Reynold, Allan and John, and a very special friend Cindy (Ron) Frommelt.
She was preceded in death by her father Gilbert Brimeyer, a sister Linda A. Bauer and a nephew Wayne Bauer.
The family wishes to thank Hospice of Dubuque for all their care they gave Mary Ellen.
