Patricia J. Strang, 73 formerly of Dubuque died Sunday, September 20, 2015, at her sons residence in Galena, IL.
Friends may gather from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Thursday September 24, 2015 at The Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road where a service will be held at 10:30. Burial will follow at Dubuque Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Patricia was born on December 29, 1941, in Dubuque the daughter of George and Charlotte (Patterson) Mullady. She married Greg F. Gloden in 1958 and he preceded her in death.
Patricia worked in home health care in Galena and Phoenix and worked for several Dubuque area restaurant’s including the Dubuque Golf and Country Club. Patty was never afraid to stand alone. She fought for a better life for her son’s and herself, never afraid to take on extra work. She was always generous to family, friends and strangers along the way. An excellent cook, baker and mother to her sons and grandson’s who always came first.
She is survived by her two sons Glenn Gregory Gloden, of Maine, Mark Allen Gloden, of Galena, four grandsons; Austin Caleb, Sawyer Stanley, Levi Patterson, and Joshua Allen Gloden. Three siblings Judith Hall, of Asbury, Judd R. Mullady, of Haines, Alaska, and Shannon Michael Mullady, of Maine
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Greg F. Gloden and her sister Kathy R. Hemmer.
