Paul Donald Hosch, age 91, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Wisconsin Veteran’s Home in Chippewa Falls, WI.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Church of the Nativity, with Msgr. James Miller officiating. Family and friends may gather after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church until time of mass. Burial will follow at Mount Cavalry Cemetery with military honors by the Dubuque Marine Corps League. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road is handling arrangements.

He was born on March 5, 1926 to Paul John and Marie (McCarthy) Hosch in Jones County, IA. He proudly served in the US Army during World War II stationed in Japan. He was awarded World War II Victory Medal and Army of Occupation Medal Japan. Paul Donald married Rosella Laufenberg on September 24, 1960 in Lancaster, WI.

Paul Donald farmed in the Bernard, IA area and operated his own trucking business prior to working as a truck driver for Stanley Home Products in Dubuque, IA along with working part time at Roeder Implement. When Stanley Home Products closed, Paul Donald worked for his very good friend, Dave McAndrews, until he was hired as a semi driver for the former Trausch Baking Company until his retirement.

He was a member of the Church of the Nativity where he served as Usher for many years. Paul Donald enjoyed traveling, playing cards and spending time with his many friends and family.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rosella; children, Ann (John) Meyer of Eau Claire, WI and Paul Joseph (Joy Morgan) of Cedar Rapids, IA. Grandchildren, Courtney (Yeng) Vang, Stevens Point, WI, Meredith (Josh) Lindbom, Appleton, WI and Michael Meyer, Wausau, WI., Staci (Tony) Novak, Cedar Rapids, IA. Great grandchildren, Michael & Mya Novak, Song, Leon and Hope Vang. A sister, Mary (Richard, deceased) Prior, Rush City, MN, sisters-in-law, Shirley Hosch, and Vonda Hosch, many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Paul John and Marie, his brothers, Loras, Charles, Wilfred and Raymond, sister-in-law Virg.
