Richard Duane Fossum, 77 of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on September 23, 2016
at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.
Gathering of family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday,
October 7th, 2016 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road
where a memorial service will be at 7:00 p.m.
Richard was born on February 20, 1939 in Waukon, Iowa the son of Harold and
Amy (Olson) Fossum. He married Carol Ann Wachter on June 27, 1959.
He worked for Dubuque Packing Company, Farmland and FDL. He was a member of
the Bellevue Horseman's Club and enjoyed farming and horses.
Richard is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carol; children, Gerald (Linda)
Fossum, Vickie (Ron) Scipior and Steven (Lynn) Fossum. His sister Esther
Bernstein; brothers; Tom (Marj) Fossum, Bob (Karen) Fossum, Arlyn "Butch"
(Lois) Fossum, Jim (Kathy) Fossum, and Ron Fossum; many grandchildren and
great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Les.
In lieu of flowers a Richard Fossum memorial fund will be established.
