Rita Mariana Velez, infant daughter of Diego and Tara (Nelson) Velez was born into the arms of the Angels on Thursday, October 12th, 2017 at Unity Point Health, Finley Hospital.
Private family services will be held at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road with entombment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
She is survived by her loving parents Diego and Tara; her big brother, Luciano; her grandparents, Stephanie Nelson, Phillip Nelson, Francisco Hernan Velez and Maria Cecilia Montoya de Velez; her aunt Luisa Maria Velez Montoya; uncles, Scott (Irene) Nelson, Phil (Ambrosia) Nelson, and Andres (Maria Clara) Velez Montoya; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family wishes to thank the caring and compassionate doctors, nurses and staff at the Finley Hospital, especially Laura and Deb from Dubuque OBGYN, and Diane, Tammie and Beth from Finley Hospital. Also to Leonard Funeral Home and Trappist Casket.
How very softly you tiptoed into my world… Only for a moment you stayed. But what an impression you have left on our hearts. We love you forever, sweet baby Rita Mariana.
