Robert W. “Bob” Schueler, 71, of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on August 3rd, 2017 peacefully at home.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday August 7th, 2017 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road with Deacon Jim Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery with military honors by the Dubuque Marine Corps League and also the Dubuque County AMVETS Post #13.  Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, August 6th, 2017 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory.

Bob was born on November 18, 1945 in Dubuque, Iowa the son of Harlan and Gladys (Maus) Schueler.

He graduated from Dubuque Senior High School. He is a US Army veteran serving from 1964 to 1967, and worked for the former Dubuque Packing Company.

He was a lifetime member of the 700 Club, and Dubuque County AMVETS Post #13.

He was an avid bowler, loved the Yankees, Colts and Iowa Hawkeye Fan who loved attending games with his friends Bill and Fred. He enjoyed taking his rides out to the point to see the eagles; having breakfast pizza with Eric at Knickers, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Robert (Bobbi) Schueler Jr., Tracy (Pat) Nolan, Shaun (Fiancé Jamie Bafico) Schueler, all of Dubuque. Grandchildren, Jordan, Morgan, Brandon, Jacob, Ryan, Devin, Logan, Lakelon and great grandson Peyton. Nephews Wayne and Matt Schueler.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Harlan Schueler, Jr.

In lieu of flowers donations should be given to Hospice of Dubuque in Bob’s memory.

The family wishes to thank all the Iowa City doctors and staff especially his favorite nurse Katie K. Dr. Mark Herman, Tony Heiar and the amazing nurses at Dubuque Internal Medicine especially Sandy; to the entire staff at Hospice of Dubuque especially Allison and Amy for all their wonderful care and kindness they gave to Bob. A special thank you to our Mom Kathy Schueler for helping out when needed with dad as we know we couldn’t have done it without you, Dad loved always having you around.

We will forever miss and love our HWKINUT, GO HAWKS.
