Rodney Milo Brummer, 72 of East Dubuque, IL passed away on September 5th, 2016 at home.

Gathering of family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 8th at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road where a memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Rodney was born on January 1, 1944 in Caledonia, MN the son of Reinhart “Pat” and Evelyn (Tessin) Brummer.

He married Bonnie Bell on December 20, 1985 in Galena, IL. He worked at John Deere as a welder from 1968 to 1998 when he retired. He was a member of the UAW Local 94.

Rodney really enjoyed his retirement. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, snowmobiling, and golfing. He was a “jack of all trades”, who could fix anything with an infectious sense of humor. 

He is survived by his wife Bonnie; two sons, Steven and Randy Brummer both of Winona, MN. Two sisters Sheila (Howard) Moses, and Bonnie Akers, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters Gloria Henry and Darlene Nelson.

The family wishes to thank Hospice of Dubuque and his brother-in-law Tommy Bell for all their wonderful care they gave.
