Ronald E. Larson, 82, of Peosta, Iowa died February 24, 2017 at Dubuque Specialty Care.
According to his wishes no visitation or service will be held. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road is assisting the family.
Ron was born on April 2, 1934 in Dubuque, Iowa the son of Otto and Marguerite (Burke) Larson. He graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1952 and enlisted with the United States Marines from 1953 to 1956.
He married Beverlee Fitzsimmon on October 6, 1956 in Dubuque.
In June of 1956 he started working for John Deere Dubuque until retirement in 1992. After retirement he worked for Tri State Industries until 2007.
He is survived by his wife Beverlee; son, Brian, of Peosta; daughter Megan (Dan) Diehm; daughter-in-law Marlene Larson; three grandchildren, Kaitlan (Tim Gau), Shanna (Bill Shadle), Kyle (Kyla Horsefield); and one brother Earl (Margaret) Larson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Stacy, and a sister Eileen (Robert) Koehler.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of Dubuque or charity of your choice.
