Sam Bettcher, 23, of Dubuque died Saturday August 29, 2015.
Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory 2595 Rockdale Road with Rev. Donald Bakewell officiating. Family and friends may gather after 3:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
Sam was born on January 13, 1992 in Dubuque the son of Randy and Karen (Anthony) Bettcher. He worked in construction and enjoyed fishing with his buddies, going for walk’s and being Grandpa Mel’s helper.
He is survived by his parents Randy and Karen Bettcher, of Dubuque, a sister Lacy (Jeff) Arant, of Overland Park, KS his maternal Grandmother Geri Anthony, of Dubuque, and aunts, uncles and cousins, Ken (Kathy) Anthony, and their family Mike, Laura, Josh and William; Whitey (Mary) Bettcher, and their family Tricia, Nate, and Magdalena; Roxanne (Dan) Streif, and Heather; Rusty (Lei Anne) Bettcher, and Levi; and Reece Bettcher, and his family Aidin, Morgan, Zoie, and Blake.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Mel Anthony, and paternal grandparents Willy and Darlene Bettcher.
