Sharon M. Kremer, 61 of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.
 
A memorial mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 24th at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Rev. Steven Rosonke officiating. Friends may gather at St. Anthony's before the memorial mass from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday. In accordance with Sharon's wishes, her body was donated to the University of Iowa School of Medicine. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery at a later date.
 
Sharon was born on November 29, 1953, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Richard and Ann (Heitz) LeConte.  She graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1971. She married Melvin Kremer on March 3, 1973 in Dubuque. He preceded her in death on April 26, 1989.
 
She worked for Molo Oil Company and later provided in-home daycare. Sharon was a exceptional child care provider. After her children were grown, she was employed by, and later retired from, Younkers in Dubuque.

Sharon was a strong, inspirational woman who shed uplifting light upon all she encountered.  She taught us courage and hope when faced with adversity.  We remember Sharon's giving spirit and inspiring smile that could light up any room.  Her memory lives on forever in our hearts.
 
She is survived by her children: Stephanie (Steve) Valentine and Matthew (Rita Hunt) Kremer, both of Dubuque; four grandchildren: Sierra, Sidney, and Ashley Valentine , and Charlie Kremer. Her mother, Ann LeConte, of Dubuque. Siblings: Diane (Ron) Clemen, Rick (Paula Dixon) LeConte, Ron (Lu) LeConte, and Robert (Janet) LeConte. Her mother-in-law Rosemary Kremer. Brothers and sisters-in-law: Gary (Karen) Kremer, Terry (Nancy) Kremer, Bob (Judy) Kremer, Jean (Ted) Huseman, Jim (Jan) Kremer, Jane (Paul) Vetter, Rod (Carrie) Kremer, Loren (Carrie) Kremer, and Mary (Chuck) Michel. Many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews.
 
She was also preceded in death by her father, her father-in-law, Lawrence Kremer, and brother-in-law, Alvin Kremer.
 
In lieu of flowers a Sharon M. Kremer memorial fund has been established.
 
The family wishes to thank Dr. John Whalen and the Tri-State Dialysis staff for all their wonderful care.
