Steven William Swift

Steven W. Swift, 50, of Dubuque, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at home.

Family and Friends may gather from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 19th, 2017 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road where a memorial time of sharing will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Steven was born August 26th, 1966 son of Thomas D. and Carol J (Schwinger) Swift. He graduated from Dubuque Senior High school. After high school, Steven used his talent as a meticulous tile installer, and later as a handyman for a few special families in Dubuque.

Steve was an avid NASCAR fan and loved fishing, tinkering on computers, and scoring the ultimate bargain at garage sales or online.

He is survived by his mother Carol J. Swift; his siblings: Tom (Sandi) Swift, Sue (Mark) Redding, Greg (Dawn) Swift, Jeff Swift, Jim (Julie) Swift; his nieces and nephews: Theresa (Matt) Baureis, Chad Redding, Nicole Redding, Rachel (Matt) Teal, Kate (Mark) Sainci, Kris ( Mike) Olbel, Christa Swift, Grant Hooker, Samantha Swift, Sara Swift “ Goddaughter”, Nathan Swift, Andrea Swift, Dylan Swift, Logan Swift, Erica Mihm, Casey Mihm: and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas D. Swift, and a sister-in-law, Peggy (Schissel) Swift.

A memorial fund has been established in the name of Steven W. Swift.
