Sylvia H. Nebel, 73 of Cascade formerly of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on Thursday February 19, 2015 at home.
Family and friends may gather from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday February 23, 2015 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road where services will be at 6:00 p.m. Entombment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
She was born on January 29, 1942 in Dearborn, MI. She married Gary L. Nebel December 5, 1964 at St. Raphael Cathedral. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2014.
She is survived by her children Mike (Darlene) McGinnis, of Michigan, Sherry (Jeff) Kane, of Dubuque and Alan (Cloris) Nebel, of Waterloo, Iowa. Seven grandchildren, Aaron, Lindsey, Nicole, Bradley, Parker, Steven, and Allison. Her siblings, Steven McDonough, Michael, McDonough and Sheila Nolan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brother Jim Butler.
The family wishes to thank the kind and caring staff at Riverbend Assisted living in Cascade.
In lieu of flowers a Sylvia Nebel memorial fund has been established.
