Wendy Jo Stierman, 48, of Andrew, Iowa, passed away on February 6, 2016, at home.

A celebration of Wendy’s life will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday February 15th, 2016, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road where services will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Wendy was born July 12, 1967 in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Jerold "Huck" and Millie (Schromen) Stierman.

Wendy graduated with honors from NICC receiving her Associates in Nursing Degree. Most of her career was spent in home health care. She truly enjoyed every aspect of being a nurse.

Wendy was very passionate and appreciated the small things in life. She loved to be on the river, “a real waterworm”, camping, and bonfires. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She adored music and photography and displayed her photographs at the local hospital. Most importantly, she cherished every moment spent with family and friends, especially her children and granddaughters.

Those left in honor of Wendy’s memory include her three children; Matthew (Alicia Lindstrom) Paar of Maquoketa, IA, Brandy Brennan of Maquoketa, IA, and Shelby Lass of Andrew, IA. Two granddaughters, Ellie Jo and Anja Marie. Two sisters Pam Willey of La Motte, IA Carolyn (Jimmie Marshall) Stierman of La Motte, IA. Three brothers Dennis Stierman of Dubuque, IA Brian (Mary) Stierman of New Port Richey, FL Kurt (Rena) Stierman of Dubuque, IA. A Brother-in-law Bill Welsh of Dubuque, IA, and 19 nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, a brother-in-law Rick Willey, and sister Jody Welsh just two days prior.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a Wendy Stierman memorial fund has been established
