William Patrick “Bill” Hoerstman, 72, of Dubuque, Iowa passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 29th, 2017 at home.
According to his wishes no public visitation or service will be held. Burial will be at a later date in Mount Calvary Cemetery. The family ask that you respect their privacy while they grieve. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory in Dubuque is assisting the family.
Bill was born on March 17, 1945 in Dubuque, Iowa the son of Anthony and Anne (Didesch) Hoerstman. He married Diane Noonan on June 5, 1965 at Holy Ghost Church in Dubuque.
He worked as an Ultra Sonics Tech at John Deere in Dubuque.
Bill had many friends who treasured and loved him, he will be greatly missed by many.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Diane; daughter Dana (Rick) Buol; grandchildren, Casey and Kylie Weitz, and Tanner Buol. His many friends especially Barb and Chuck Martelle; his golfing buddies from Birchwood Golf Course; his friends from all the many theaters, especially Sue Riedel who gave him his start in acting.
He was preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Anne Hoerstman, his brother Ted and his daughter Kim.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of Dubuque.
The family wishes to thank his many doctors including Dr. Brian Nelson, Dr. Tim Martin and his physician of over 30 years, Dr. Martin Bagby.
