Pamela J. Burns

Pamela J. Burns, 76, of Zwingle, Iowa, passed away on March 27, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

Friends and family may visit from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday April 2, 2024, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, with a Wake Service starting at 3:45 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday April 3rd, at Holy Family Catholic Church New Melleray, 16318 Holy Family Lane, with Monsignor Thomas Toale officiating. Burial will follow in the church’s cemetery.

Pamela was born on September 20, 1947, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Francis and Esther (Wachendorf) Frick. She graduated from Dubuque Senior High School class of 1965. She was united in marriage to her husband, Terrence F. Burns, on February 17, 1973, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dubuque. She worked for Collin’s Radio in Cedar Rapids.

Pamela’s greatest pride and joy was her family. She was incredibly proud of her granddaughters and was happy to meet her great granddaughter. Her family will always remember her love. Pamela is survived by her husband Terry, daughter Kristi (Jason) Kramer, granddaughters Brianna (Jack) Nelson of Peosta and Alexis Kramer of Dyersville, great granddaughter Violet Nelson, and brothers Jim Frick, Tom (Michele) Frick, and Jeff Frick and sister -in-law Sue Frick.

She was preceded in death by her parents Francis and Esther, parents-in-law Jerry and Adele Burns, sister Ivadell (Bill) Brehm, and brother Dave (Sue) Frick.
