Betty Ann Kuehn Obituary

Betty Ann (Larson) Kuehn, 90, of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on December 22, 2018 at Stonehill Care Center. Celebration of her life was on December 30th, 2018 at Renwick Community Center in Renwick, Iowa.

She was born on December 15, 1928 in Clarion, Iowa the daughter of Raymond and Frances (Bronleewee) Larson.

He graduated in 1947 from Vernon Consolidated High School in Renwick, Iowa.

Betty worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company for 35 years, retired in 1983. She started as an operator in Clarion, Iowa then moved to Oelwein, Iowa and worked in the plant department in their office and in her last years she was transferred to Dubuque where she worked until retirement.

She was a member of Pioneers of America. She was an avid bowler in Oelwein and Dubuque. She traveled to state and national bowling tournaments, each year with her friends. She was involved with the junior bowling league in Oelwein.

Betty’s life revolved around her family and friends and was a die heart Iowa Hawkeye fan.

She is survived by her daughter Kathy Trower, son-in-law Don Trower; grandchildren Nikolaus Trower, Kelli Wilker and her husband Tyler Wilker, great grandsons Dawson Trower, Jackson Wilker and Nixon Wilker.  Her siblings Richard (Dee) Larson, Marilyn Jacques, and Ronald (Sharon) Larson. Two nephews, three nieces along with great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother and a brother-in-law Eugene Jacques.
