Beverly Lepsch Obituary

Beverly J. Lepsch, 76, of Dubuque, IA, passed away on Thursday, May 31,2018 at home surrounded by her family.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday June 4th, 2018 at Leonard Funeral Home and Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Rd. Dubuque with Deacon Jim Thill officiating. Family and friends may gather after 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home until the time of service.

Bev was born in September of 1941 in Dubuque, IA, to Robert and Dorothy Lepsch.   After graduating from Immaculate Conception Academy high school, she went on to pursue nursing.  Over the years she worked in many different places as an RN, including Minnesota and California.  In her later years, she worked at the Nagle Center with Sisters of the Presentation in Dubuque, IA.

Bev was fun-loving and adventurous. She loved being a nurse, and had charisma and charm.  She married Thomas R. Jungk in December of 1971 and they had 3 children.  She loved to be outdoors and on the river.  She was someone that others went to with their problems or for counsel, and was lovingly referred to as Nurse Bebe in family circles.

Survivors include her two daughters, Sherre' Jungk of Dubuque, IA and Lara Hunter of Mountain View, CA; two sisters: Judi (Dave) Strohmeyer, and Sue (Bud) Schultz; three grandchildren: Tina Tangi, Tessa Hunter, and Sarah Hunter; a great grandchild, Ezekiel Tangi Lopez and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Jungk, her former husband, Thomas Jungk, and her parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials please be given to Hospice of Dubuque. They would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Hospice of Dubuque, and also to Janie and Jennie Schadle, Pam Holzer, and Kathy Gorman for their friendship and care over the recent years.
