Darriel Hoskins, 47, of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on Saturday, October 7th, 2017 at Unity Point Health, Finley Hospital.
Funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 12th, 2017 at the Church of the Nativity with Msgr. James Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 11th, 2017 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road.
Darriel was born on September 2, 1970 in New York the son of Sammie and Susie (Ervin) Hoskins. He married Stacy Tigges on April 13, 2002. He worked for John Deere Dubuque Works.
Darriel provided strength and love for his family and was involved in their lives teaching them life lessons every chance he had. He enjoyed going to the kids sporting activities and in his spare time he enjoyed visiting the casino.
Darriel loved his family above all and was looking forward to the arrival of his newest grandson Mason.
He is survived by his wife Stacy; children, Zachary (Brittany Blake) Tigges, Darriel Jr., Jayden, Jocelyn and Gabrielle Hoskins; his siblings; his father and mother-in-law, Allan & Laura Tigges; brothers and sisters-in-law; along with nieces and nephews. He was looked upon by Ariane, Michael, Ebony, and Keith Hayes as a father figure who always held a very special place in his heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
In lieu of flowers a Darriel Hoskins memorial fund will be established.
The family wishes to thank the Dubuque Fire and EMS first responders and the staff at Unity Point Health, Finley Hospital.
