Genevieve C. Thies, 100, of Dubuque passed away May 4th, 2018 at Mill Valley Care Center in Bellevue.
In accordance to her wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. A private burial will take place at a later date at St. Joseph Church Cemetery in Bellevue, IA. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, Dubuque, Iowa is assisting the family.
Genevieve was born April 18th, 1918 in St. Donatus, Iowa the daughter of Matthew and Margaret (Weber) Kremer.
She is survived by her son Dave (Donna) Thies; daughter-in-Law Jayne Theis; sister Veronica Rhomberg; grandchildren Bob Julson, Glen Julson, Mark Thies, Lisa Mootz, Lynn Morhardt, Lori Morgan, Jennifer Yager, Melisa Lenhart, Jason Thies, Justin Thies, and Jonathan Thies.
She is preceded in death by her husband Herman Thies; daughter Geraldine Clancy; son Orville Thies; and grandson Alan Julson.
