Judith Ann (Blaser) Bodish

Judith Ann “Judy” Bodish, 74, of Zwingle, Iowa passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Key West with Rev. Rodney Allers officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Leonard Funeral Home and Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Rd. Dubuque.

Judy was born in Dubuque, IA on September 1, 1944 the daughter of Ralph and Hilda (Steffen) Blaser. She Graduated from Dubuque Senior High School. Judy was united in marriage to Jim Bodish on April 12, 1963 in Galena, Illinois. She was employed with Bethany Home in Dubuque for many years.

Judy loved to read her books by James Patterson and especially loved to shop. She enjoyed being with family and friends and traveling on the motorcycle. Judy always enjoyed working and she cherished her dogs Molly and Chloe.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; two daughters, Sue Bodish and Paula (Tim) Tigges; son-in-law, Roger Brandenburg; sister-in-law, Margaret Blaser and brother-in-law Paul (Cookie) Bodish. Judy was also blessed with six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Hilda Blaser, and two brothers, Ron and Dave Blaser.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in her name.
