Maverick James Meyer, 15 of LaMotte, Iowa passed away on July 10th, 2017.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 14th, 2017 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road with Rev. Rodney Allers officiating. Burial will follow in Dubuque Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 13th, 2017 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory.
Maverick was born on July 16, 2001 in Dubuque, Iowa the son of Matthew and Nicole (Kremer) Meyer. He was going into his junior year at Dubuque Senior High School.
Maverick was a kind, loving, funny, smart young man who had an infectious smile. If you were ever down, his presence would boost you up.
He is survived by his parents Matt and Nicole of LaMotte; his sister, Montana; grandparents Gerald and Beth Kremer and Rick and Patti Meyer; great grandparents, Rosemary Kremer, and Jim and Jean Steil. His uncle and godfather Jesse (Steph) Kremer; his aunt Geri (Kevin) Kalb; cousins, Regan and Charlotte Kalb and Henry Kremer; his godmother Kathy Kremer; along with many great aunts and uncles that loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents Norman and Norma Hubbard, Leo and Lavon Meyer and Earl Kremer. His great uncles Kevin Kremer, Mike Meyer and Jamie Meyer and cousin Clayton Kremer.
In Lieu of flowers a Maverick James Meyer memorial fund will be established.
