Michael James O'Connell

Michael James “Mike” O’Connell, 31, of Dubuque, Iowa and Springfield, MA passed away on August 2, 2019 in Massachusetts.

A prayer service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, August 9th, 2019 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road with Deacon Jim Kean officiating. Family and friends may visit the family from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mike was born on April 2, 1988 the son of Lynn (Pyzocha) Fossum and James O’Connell.

Michael was passionate about a lot of things but especially drawing, music, guitar, and writing letters as well as poems. He always had a way with words and used music as a way to express himself.

He is survived by his mother Lynn Fossum; step-father Steven Fossum; brother Dan (Angela) Pyzocha; sisters, Alexis Lyons and Becca Fossum; his son Caiden Cole; grandmother’s Joanne Pyzocha and Carol Fossum along with many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather’s George Pyzocha and Richard Fossum along with many other loved ones.
