P. Jeanne Sinhold, 91, of Dubuque, Iowa passed away peacefully on October 25, 2017 at Manor Care surrounded by her loving family.
Private family gathering and service will be held at Mueller Chapel Linwood Cemetery. Burial will follow in the cemetery. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road is assisting the family.
Jeanne was born on December 19, 1925 in Independence, Iowa the daughter of James and Maida (Curtis) Freeman. She graduated from Senior High School in 1943, and married Fred H. Sinhold on July 4th, 1946. He preceded her in death on July 29, 2014.
Jeanne loved motorcycle riding with her husband and friends. She enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, sewing and camping. She was active member of WaTanYe Club, a licensed realtor and mortgage loan officer in Iowa for many years.
Jeanne had a smile that brightened the lives of all that she encountered. She never met a stranger that she didn’t consider a friend. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, she was their “Rock”.
She is survived by a daughter Carol (Tim) Tuthill, of Durango; six grandchildren, Jimmy Becker, Lori Westmark, Kari (Jerry) Ambrosy, Becky (Chris Wiezorek) Maas, Tina Sinhold and Nik Sinhold. 10 great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren; a step brother Don Willis, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred; her son Jim, her daughter Barb; three sisters, Maida Muchow, Florence McCarthy, and Nancy Linenfelser; two grandchildren Jesse Sinhold and Bobby Miller.
A special thank you to Jeanne’s granddaughter Kari and husband Jerry for being Jeanne’s caregivers for the past three years since moving back from Texas to Dubuque. Also to the amazing loving staff at Manor Care for the care they gave her.
A Jeanne Sinhold memorial fund will be established.
