Shirley A. Kramer

Shirley A. Kramer, 81, of Dubuque, IA passed away peacefully on April 3rd, 2018 at her home.

In accordance to her wishes a private burial will be held at Dubuque Memorial Gardens at a later date. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road is assisting the family.

Shirley was born on May 21st, 1936 in Dubuque, Iowa the daughter of Charles and Clara (Justmann) Fenley. She married Clarence R. Kramer, August 4th, 1951 at St. John's Lutheran Church. 

Throughout her life she worked many years as a clerk for the St. Vincent de Paul Store, where she retired in 1993 and was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband; her children Regina Zumbach, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Diane (Don) Makovec, Karen (Art) Rokusek; Laura (Henry) Garrigus, Denise (Mike) Erschen, Paula (Larry) Blatnik, Michelle (Arnold) King all of Dubuque: 17 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son Gary L. Kramer and daughter Debra A. Kramer. 

Mom was a faithful feeder of nature’s birds. She enjoyed sitting on the deck, cherishing the view of her yard, flowers, and sunsets. She leaves behind a family who will cherish her memory. We will miss you, Mom.
