Angela M. "Angie" Valentine, 50, of Maquoketa, Iowa passed away after a sudden illness on July 31, 2025 at the Jackson County Regional Health Center.
Visitation for Angie will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6th, 2025 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road with a service to be held at 6:00 p.m.
Angie was born in Dubuque, Iowa on October 17, 1974 the daughter of Kenneth M. and LouAnn M. (Green) Valentine.
Angie loved to be around friends and family. Especially camping and fishing with her son and family whenever she could and getting together with her friends in her apartment complex cooking out and just talking. She enjoyed her pets, and all animals, mostly taking her dog Roxy out in the yard to play games, and taking her birds out of their cage to pet and play with them.
Angie is survived by her son Xander Valentine of Maquoketa; her mother LouAnn Valentine of Peosta, brothers Chad (Tina) Valentine of Epworth, and Eric Valentine of Peosta. Nieces and nephews Avery Valentine of Stitzer, WI, Rob Burns of Cascade, Jessica (Kyle) Murphy, Andrew (Kristi Jameson) Burns all of Epworth, and Bailey (Kim) Valentine of Lisbon, IA, along with great niece and nephew Ryder Murphy of Epworth and Willow Burns of Epworth. Aunts and Uncles: Butch Valentine of Dubuque, Tommy Valentine of Key West, IA, Terry Moore of Bernard, Mike (Nancy) Valentine of Bellevue, Hank Valentine of Bernard, Greg (Cheryl) Valentine of Key West, IA, Dave (Phyllis) Valentine of Epworth, Paul Kramer of Dubuque, Joyce Valentine of Dubuque, Jerry (Roberta) Valentine of Bernard, Jean (Russ) Recker of Cascade, Jim Scherrer of Farley, Sheila Paul of Floyd, IA, Sherene (Dave) Lochner of Dubuque, Edward (Patty) Green of Bellevue, and Dennis Green of Amarillo, TX, along with numerous cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father Kenneth on July 9, 2023 along with her maternal and paternal grandparents Irv and Lelia Valentine and Roland and Mildred Green; Aunts and Uncles: Darrel Green, Bernice Scherrer, Terry Valentine, Lois Valentine, Bev Hansen, Arlene Moore, Janice Kramer and Bob Paul.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
The family would like to thank the staff at Jackson County Regional Health Care Center for all they did for Angie, and to Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory for helping us get through this time.
