Betty was born March 10, 1941, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Arnold and Annice (Beckett) Jaeger Sr. She married Peter Reinert on February 13, 1960, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dubuque, Iowa. He preceded her in death on August 25, 2022. Betty was a stay-at-home mom, raising her children until they were teenagers. Betty then went to Capri Cosmetology College in Dubuque, where she fulfilled a lifelong dream of becoming a cosmetologist. For several years Betty owned and operated Artistic Hair Designers in Dubuque. Betty was also a member of the UAW Family Auxiliary from 2015 to 2020. You could always count on Betty for a great Euchre game or an even more exciting game of Farkle. She was always willing to teach “Betty’s rules” if you did not know how to play.
