Charles “Morry” Harrison Jr., 90, of Dubuque, Iowa, formerly of Weston, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, in Dubuque surrounded by his family after a period of declining health.

Friends and family may visit from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road. A wake service will be held prior to the visitation at 3:45 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1870 St. Ambrose Street, with Rev. Steven Rosonke officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Linwood Cemetery at Weston, Massachusetts.

Born on February 6, 1936, at Boston Lying-in Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Charles Morris Harrison and Julia Quigley Harrison. Morry grew up in the Newton/Weston area of Massachusetts and graduated from Boston College in 1958. He served as a First Lieutenant in the Army’s 19th Field Artillery stationed at Fort Devens, MA, with time spent in S. Korea. He spent most of his career in sales working for Chesebrough-Ponds and Becton, Dickinson and Company. Later, he spent time as a Brinks armored truck driver and finally as a grocery bagger at Hy-Vee in Dubuque, where he was known for his work ethic and sense of humor before retiring in 2025.

Morry was a man of many passions. In his early years, he sang in a barbershop quartet and loved old movies, especially westerns and musicals. He was also an avid jogger and tennis player. Later in his life, he spent most of his free time with his family, going to his grandchildren’s many sporting events, enjoying the arboretum, and cheering for his Boston sports teams. He loved his family more than anything and took immense pride in watching his children and grandchildren grow.

He is survived by his daughter, Jackie Lambe, and her husband Terry of Dubuque, IA; his son, Jeff Harrison, and his wife Alessandra of San Francisco, CA; and his cherished grandchildren, Stevie, Emma, Lucie, Nick, Seneca, and Liam. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Patricia.
