Delores Hefel

Delores (Dee) Hefel, age 74, of Dubuque passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Ennoble Manor Dubuque. She was born on March 3, 1946 in rural Goodridge, MN at her family home the daughter of Carl and Mae(Kolestrand) Stigen.

Dee enjoyed reading, sewing, animals, anything sweet, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her two sisters Lori (Vance) Wiseth and Gilda (Larry) Kotrba of Goodridge, MN. Her six children Thomas (Kim) Lyons, Jr. of Des Moines, Melanie (Michael) Wong of Dubuque, Stephanie (Michael) Small of Dubuque, Ronald (Leah) Cornwell of Maquoketa, Elizabeth (Beth) Pecora of Dubuque and Rebecca (Becky) Cornwell of Dubuque. She had 15 grandchildren Ashley Ramler, Allison Wong, Alissa Wong, Bridget Small, Jessica Small, Michael Small, Alexis Lyons, Jesse Cornwell, Noah Cornwell, Wesley Meyer, Elayne Meyer, Emi Pecora, Davon Cornwell, Jayden Ayers andJazmine Ayers.  She also had 8 great grandchildren Evan Tott, Izabella Tott, Madison Tott, Caden Eubanks, Ethan Eubanks, Namir Culver, Niko Culver and Cohen Ramler.

There will be a private Celebration of Life at a later date. A Delores Hefel memorial fund has been established.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Ennoble Manor staff especially Holly, Abby, Kate, Cathy, Gina, and Nick.   We know you will miss her sassy comments! Also thank you to Dr Konz and her nurse Cheri who provided mom with excellent care.
