Elizabeth "Betty" M. Murphy

Elizabeth M. "Betty" Murphy, 99, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Stonehill Health Center in Dubuque, IA.

No services will be held at this time. Burial will take place in Linwood Cemetery at a later date. Leonard Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family.

Betty is survived by her children; Janis Sargent, Dennis (Suga) Murphy, Shirley "Sherry" Kelley, Dwayne (Susan) Murphy, Lynda (Richard) Ambs, Dale (Lori) Murphy, Sandra (Lawrence) Woods, and Barbara (Chris) Halford; along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and great great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Howard Murphy who passed in July 1965; two children, Victoria Luce, and Connie Day; grandchildren: Chuck, Cassie, Bob, Paula, John, Cheryl, Sean, Derrik, Steven, Brian, and Christopher; great grandchild, Annie; siblings, Francis Paar, Donald Paar, and Jo Ann Cherf; half siblings, Kern Lesser and Bernita Lewis.
