Hilda Schmitt

Hilda Schmitt, 57 years old, of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on December 2, 2022 at MercyOne Medical Center

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 9th, 2022 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 10th at Holy Spirit Parish, Holy Ghost Church.  

Hilda was born on July 24, 1965 in Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of Patsy (Hines) Lynch and Robert "Bob" Lynch. She graduated from Clinton High School in Clinton, IA. 

She previously worked at sunbeam bakery in Dubuque, Iowa.

Hilda adored her little dogs also enjoyed sitting outside, planting, gardening, going to the casino, but most of all she loved spending time with the people who meant the most to her.

She is survived by her son Tyler "Ty" Schmitt and her daughter Kayla Schmitt; a sister Tammy Lynch; sisters-in-law, Nancy Shultz, Debbie Linden and Kris Loomis and a brother-in-law Randy Schmitt along when numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard "Rick" Schmitt, her parents Patsy Lynch (Hines) and Robert "Bob" Lynch.
