James "Jim" P Meisenburg

James “Jim” Peter Meisenburg, 61, of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on September 12th, 2023, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.

A private family visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Private family military honors will be accorded by the Dubuque Marine Corps League and the Iowa Army National Guard.

Jim was born on March 11th, 1962, the son of John and Arlene (Hesseling) Meisenburg. He graduated from Dubuque Senior High School and attended NICC for a degree in computer science. He retired after faithfully serving in the U.S. military and doing construction as well as years of truck driving.

Jim enjoyed vacationing and taking cruises as well as riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed playing on his computer.

He is survived by his fiancé Annette Wiemerslage, children JP (Jean) Meisenburg, Marty (Ashlie) Meisenburg, Tammy (Justin) Meisenburg, Nancy Meisenburg, Catherine Meisenburg, Amber (Michael) Feldman, Hailey Bush, Cody Grass, Mariah (Paul) Wiemerslage, and Jake (Sara) Wiemerslage, 23 grandchildren, siblings Linda (Dave) Kohn, Dennis Meisenburg, Robert Meisenburg, Ron (Shelly) Meisenburg, and Vicki (Jeff) Doyle, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Gary and Jack Meisenburg, sister Catherine Donovan, sister-in-law Nita Meisenburg, and Dick Hesseling.
