John Watson Obituary

John J. “Jack” Watson 78, of East Dubuque, Illinois passed away Monday May 11th, 2020 at home.

A private graveside committal service with military honors by the Iowa Army National Guard will be held on Saturday May 16th at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque Iowa at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Austin Wilker will officiate.

Jack was born on July 19, 1941 in Evanston Illinois the son of Thomas and Viola (Gross) Watson. He never married. Jack served in the U.S. Army, and later graduated from a 4 year college. He was employed by Mobile in Evanston.

He enjoyed playing cards and games at family gatherings. He was an avid history buff and Chicago Cubs fan. He was always willing to share his knowledge of stocks.

Survivors include several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert.
